| About Our Practice: | The DR MS SABAN practice has been serving the community of Westridge, Mitchells Plain, and surrounding areas since 1987.
Three reception and administrative staff members support three rotating doctors. The doctors are a mix of female and male doctors with varying styles of practice and skills. Dr MS Saban heads the team of doctors as a Specialist Family Physician, having completed his MB.Ch.B (UCT), a Masters Degree in Family Medicine (Stellenbosch University), and a Fellowship in Family Medicine (SA Colleges of Medicine). Patients are seen by appointment at the practice, emergencies are accommodated and, when needed, patients are appropriately referred to a network of other Specialists from the practice. |
| Services Provided: | All basic services are offered, including Blood Pressure Checks, Glucose, Cholesterol, Hb, HIV and Urine tests. PAP Smears, ECG heart tests, Peak Flow lung tests and Annual General Checks are offered. Routine monitoring and support for chronic illnesses, such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Asthma, Heart diseases, and Arthritis are offered, as well as the treatment and management of depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders. Various screening tests are done to assist patients with achieving and maintaining healthier lifestyles, providing advice on diet, exercise, quitting cigarette smoking, weight reduction and improved mental health. A wide range of surgical procedures and intra-articular steroid injections are offered. The practice offers Family Planning advice, counselling and services, including oral contraceptives, injections, Intra-uterine Loop (IUCD) and Implanon insertion and removal. Consultations include the dispensing of medication directly to the patient. Prescriptions are also provided. |
